A lot of Prince of Tennis fans know that the manga got into a regular musical production : The Musical - Tennis no Oujisama (ミュージカル テニスの王子様). The musical production started its shows on Golden Week of 2003 (April 2003) and is still running. It follows the original plot of the manga (and the anime, a bit closely) of Echizen Ryoma joining the Tennis Club in Seishun Gakuen and having matches with other schools. Because the production follows the anime/manga closely, it's easy to watch and understand. At the same time, seeing RL Tenipuri characters dancing around with their rackets (as well as seeing RL fanservice, but I wouldn't include that) is utterly entertaining. ^^
Up to the present, Tenimyu (nickname for the musical) has given a total of 10 different shows, including the so-called concerts or Dream Lives. The actors playing the characters were not permanent though, as they graduated after a certain number of shows. I have here a partial list of the actors. Although I am a Myu fan and all, I have fangirled too late, so I haven't got the actors' bios or something. I only included my review and personal insights on them ^^;;;. You can see more info of them in their respective fansites and personal blogs. ^_^. I am missing 2-3 musicals, so pardon the incomplete list.
