The Yamabuki Chuu Tennis team boasts of its 2 pairs of powerful doubles players and Sengoku Kiyosumi, who was a participant in the previous year's Junior Selection Camp. They managed to beat their opponents using their formidable doubles, Sengoku, and their new savior, Akutus Jin. Even though they were defeated by Seigaku and Fudomine, they managed to enter the Nationals by winning the consolation spot. However, when Akutsu left after their match versus Seigaku, Yamabuki had faced a bigger challenge: to find someone to replace the loss.

Minami Kentarou is the captain of the Yamabuki Tenni team, although not many people knew about it, since he's not in the limelight much as compared to Sengoku or Akutsu. However, he must be a good captain, since all the members treat him with respect. He is the half of the Jimmies pair, one of the indestructible doubles team of Yamabuki. He had won against Oishi in a previous game, and was confident that he can still beat him.

He tends to revolve his world around luck, even the colors ^^;;;. He also likes girls and would spend lots of time girl-watching. On the other hand, he's very good at chasing after moving objects and later on, has developed apparent strength as well, making him a powerhouse player like Momoshiro.
